Lee Herman, D.D.S.

GENERAL DENTIST AND OWNER

Hi, I’m Dr. Lee Herman. I graduated from NYU College of Dentistry in 1994 and soon after made Boca Raton my home, where I’ve proudly built my life, family, and dental practice. Dentistry is a family tradition—I come from a long line of dentists. My father and both of my brothers are also in the field, and I’m proud to continue that legacy rooted in care, integrity, and a genuine passion for helping people smile with confidence.

At West Boca Dental Care, I’ve built a multidisciplinary practice that brings together experienced professionals across a range of specialties. This team-based approach allows us to provide comprehensive, high-quality care all under one roof—making treatment seamless, convenient, and personalized for each patient. We combine advanced technology with a warm, patient-focused philosophy to ensure every visit is comfortable and effective.

Outside of the office, I enjoy spending quality time with my wife and family. You might also catch me on the golf course, where I’m still perfecting my swing—and occasionally convincing myself that dentistry is the easier challenge!

Jeffrey Shiffman, D.M.D.

Dr. Jeffrey Shiffman is a general dentist who provides comprehensive care for patients of all ages. He brings decades of well-rounded dental expertise to his patients. His career spans private practice, academic teaching, public health service, and dedicated care for individuals with special needs. In addition, he has advanced the profession as both a consultant and a board examiner for dental licensure.

This breadth of experience shapes his thoughtful and personalized approach to dentistry. Patients often highlight his calm, reassuring presence, his clear explanations of treatment options, and the confidence he inspires throughout every visit.

Matthew K. Rand

ORAL SURGEON

Dr. Matthew Rand, an oral surgeon in Boca Raton, practices a wide scope of procedures such as corrective jaw surgery, facial trauma repair, oral pathology, TMJ treatment, CT-guided dental implant surgery, bone grafting and complex dental alveolar surgery under intravenous conscious sedation and general anesthesia. He also performs pre-prosthetic surgery, ridge augmentation, soft tissue grafting, sinus lift surgery, and exposure of teeth for orthodontic purposes.
Dr. Rand treats adults, teenagers and children as young as 8. 

About Dr. Matthew Rand:

Dr. Matthew Rand, MD, DMD, is one of the nation's few dual-degree oral surgeons, recognized by both the American Dental Association (ADA) and the American Medical Association (AMA) as a leading specialist. With a reputation as one of the best oral surgeons near Boca Raton, FL, Dr. Rand combines exceptional surgical skills, compassionate patient care, and mastery in anesthesia to ensure comfortable and successful outcomes for every patient.

He graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Miami where he majored in Psychology and Chemistry. He went on to graduate Summa Cum Laude from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston. During dental school, he also completed a research fellowship at the National Institute of Health/National Cancer Institute Surgery Branch through the Howard Hughes Medical Institute Research Scholars Program. In addition, he received a number of awards for academic achievement, including the prestigious Robert E. O'Neil Prize in Oral Surgery and the American Academy of Oral Medicine Award. Dr. Rand continued his studies at he University of Michigan Medical School where he obtained his Medical Degree and went on to complete his training in General Surgery, Adult and Pediatric Anesthesia and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Michigan Hospital. He also completed a one year Microvascular Training Program at the University of Michigan.

Dr. Rand has coauthored articles for publications such as the Journal of Dental Research and is currently a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Miami Society for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and Chalmers J. Lyons Academy. Dr. Rand regularly provides oral surgery for those without access to dental care through his volunteer work at the Community Health Center of West Palm Beach.

He works with Dr. Herman to ensure the patients receive the care they need. He is currently accepting new patients.
